Please attend Monday, November 16 Commissioners Meeting at 5:30 PM

The petition to Put an End to the Noise has 109 signatures (the up-to-date pen and paper version).  We have finished gathering all the handwritten signatures for the ones that were obtained online.  Remember, you can only sign the petition if you live or own property in Haywood County. The petition includes folks from as far as Lake Junaluska and County Road, in addition to Regina Park and Foxfire I and II, also Longs Chapel representatives.

We will present the petition to the Board of Commissioners at the above meeting. If you want to speak at the meeting, you must sign in at 5:15.  Otherwise, please try to attend, just to be there in support, to show you too are not happy about the fairgrounds concerts and would like change.  

We are requesting the indoor sound systems and outdoor concerts be prohibited since the fairgrounds is nestled within a residential community AND that the long outdated Haywood County Noise Ordinance be revised to protect all citizens in a growing community.  There is no room for compromise.

If you have something to add please consider speaking.  It is important people do not repeat the same information as a courtesy to all attending, Commissioners included.

While the petition is being turned in, it will continue to gather more signatures.  We will continue to identify people that are negatively impacted by these events in the community until we have found everyone.  Thank you for your continued support and hope to see you at the Monday meeting!
